Ram 1500 EcoDiesel Coming Soon



Jim Morrison, Head of RM Trucks had a few bits of news about what's coming and what isn't
coming. Speaking at the New York Auto Show, Morrison indicated that the EcoDiesel is finally coming the the all new Ram 1500 later this year.
The new engine, however, won't be the same as the current engine in Ram 1500. The new power plant will be a redesigned 3.0 liter turbodiesel that will also appear in the Jeep Gladiator in 2020. The new engine should make 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. Morison wouldn't elaborate on any other details though, including weather it would utilize the eTorque mild Hybrid assist.
